Accountant

Position Description:

The Accountant will be responsible for operations of Loyalty Lab’s Finance department, including: general ledger maintenance, cash management, monthly and year-end close, internal auditing/control, A/R, A/P, revenue recognition and other operating and financial reporting processes. The candidate will also be responsible for developing the company's key management reports, including board and shareholder level reporting. This position will report to the company President.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account reconciliation, journal entry, financial statement, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger.
  • Prepare journal entries, GL account reconciliation and month-end reports.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
  • Manage certain administrative functions including payroll, 401(k), health benefits and insurance brokers.
  • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Prepare board and management reporting packages Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually
  • Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses against budget. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
  • Act as immediate contact with organization's independent auditors on accounting matters
  • Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance experience
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and federal and state financial regulations.
  • Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, well-developed financial analysis capabilities, and demonstrated ability to manage the accounting function within an expansion stage technology environment.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills in addition to reconciliation skills.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to work in the dynamic environment of a growing expansion stage software company.
  • Strong preference for experience with technology companies.
